The Marcos regime in the Philippines ended in 1986. A revolution was fought to oust the Marcos family and it was successful. Whether things changed for the better is up for debate depending on who you talk to.
Obviously all the reasons why people decided to get rid of the Marcos family back in 1986 has been completed forgotten and some say maybe even erased. Give all the credit to social media for that phenomenon.
They are back in power of course and it’s questionable whether that is a good thing.
